We have been seeing spy shots of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class convertible since last year. But the images of the car only provided us an idea of how its body curves will look like as the prototypes shown were heavily covered in camouflage.

Recently, Automedia made their own rendering of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class convertible to give us a better picture of how it will look like without the pesky camo. The automotive advice portal took some cues from the spy photos of the cabriolet that have been circulating on the Internet plus the design found on the latest C-Class Coupe to arrive at their own concept of the upcoming car.

So far, Mercedes has been very secretive about the details of the C-Class convertible. Despite its spy shots being online as early as last year, there is no word yet about its launching or engine options.

However, based on reports, the Mercedes C-Class convertible could be out by September this year. It is possible that it will be launched during the Frankfurt Motor Show.

As for the power units of the car, it will likely be equipped with the engine options found on its latest sedan counterpart. So expect the usual 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine with 201 hp or the 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 power unit with 302 hp in its premiere. Then hybrid, AMG Sport, and full-AMG units will soon follow.

Due to the fact that this convertible will be under the C-Class range, it will be most affordable convertible of the brand. Therefore, it will be cheaper than the latest SLK roadster.
