A couple of months ago, we featured the Black Crystal Mercedes-Benz GL project of Larte Design. The package offered by the aftermarket tuner included an engine boost plus visual enhancements for the SUV of the three-pointed star brand.

Recently, new photos of the auto surfaced again. Not much has changed since we first saw the vehicle, but it sure is nice to see it again.

As a recap, the Larte Design Black Crystal Mercedes-Benz GL was featured at the Essen Motor Show held from November 29 to December 7 last year. It got its name from the crystal-like embellishments in its exterior.

The SUV has been given styling enhancements which include new bumpers with LED DRLs, F1-inspired lights at the base of the bumper, spoiler, air intakes, extended fenders, diffusers, side skirts, and quad-tipped exhaust system. Then, black 22 x 11 alloy wheels were fitted to it for better running performance and sportier appeal. It should be noted that Larte also provides optional Swarovski crystals decoration for the vehicle that can even be shaped like skulls for added effects.

Going beneath the hood, the 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine of the Mercedes-Benz GL was configured to raise its output by 32 hp and 50 lb-ft from its original 258 hp and 458 lb-ft power. Doing a simple math translates those numbers into an overall output of 290 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque.
