There is still a couple of weeks left before the year ends, but according to the report of Daimler, Mercedes-Benz already topped its sales last year. Based from the parent of the three-pointed star marque, there were 1,486,839 vehicles sold since the beginning of the year. The figure indicated a 12.4 percent increase compared to 2013’s records.

That’s not all. The sales record of the brand consistently displayed an increase in the months leading to November. The previous month showed 150,742 vehicles sold, which translates to a 13 percent increase on a year-on-year comparison.

All the key markets of Mercedes-Benz worldwide increased their sales too. It should be noted that the major driver of the brand was the Asia-Pacific region.

In November, 61,060 units were sold in Europe, which went 13.6 percent above the bar set in the same month of last year. Going to NAFTA, the company sold 38,740 units, showing a growth of 2.3 percent.

On the other side of the globe, in the Asia-Pacific region, a whopping 23.3 percent year-on-year increase in sales was recorded in the area. In China, 23.1 percent more autos or 26,184 units were sold compared to November last year. From the start of 2014, 252,819 vehicles were sold, which meant a 30 percent increase in the demand of the region.

All the ranges of Mercedes-Benz from A-Class to S-Class also spiked in sales. The demand for the C-Class sedan and estate was astonishing as it increased to 53 percent to 38,095 units in November. It was actually the first time for the C-Class to reach such heights in the 11th month of the year.
