In January 2015 at the Consumer Electronics Show, commonly known as CES, Dr. Dieter Zetsche will be delivering a keynote address. The speech of the Daimler CEO is expected to be focused on the autonomous car technology as well as highlight a new Mercedes-Benz concept car, according to CNet.

Based from the press release about the keynote address of Dr. Zetsche, he will be discussing the possible impact of autonomous vehicle technology in our roads. The Daimler boss will also discuss the effect of the new system to both the society and the environment.

The source mentioned Dr. Zetsche will be presenting the precursors of the autonomous driving technology such as the Intelligent Drive and Steering Assist. These will provide the audience a preview of what they can expect with the upcoming technology.

As for the Mercedes-Benz concept car, there are no details about it yet. However, it will feature a lot of groundbreaking technology for sure, given the technology-driven theme of CES. Among the features of the concept car will definitely include the autonomous driving system as seen in the recently unveiled Mercedes-Benz Future Truck 2025.

The exact date of the Daimler CEO’s keynote address will be on January 5, 2015. The date is still a long way to go, but that would give us one more good reason to tune in to the upcoming event.
