The S-Class represents the best in Mercedes-Benz that’s why it is considered as the flagship luxury car of the brand. The car is characterized by high-end luxury, comfort, safety, and technology.

The ultra-luxurious Mercedes-Benz S600 brings all the mentioned elements into another level. However, the Mercedes-Benz S600 Guard, also known as the S-Guard, adds one more element in the excellent features of the ultra-luxury model of the range, that is top-of-the-line “protection”. The said traits make the armored car very ideal for dignitaries and people who are simply concerned about their personal security.

The Mercedes-Benz S600 Guard has the highest VR9 level of ballistic protection. In other words, it can withstand several shots from firearms like the M60, M14 or FAL-FN. Then, it carries an ERV 2010 level of defense when it comes to explosives, making it capable of absorbing the blast of a standard hand grenade, landmine, or TNT.

The S-Guard is barely distinguishable from the normal S600 making it very easy to blend in with other vehicles on the road. Even the interior possesses the same technology present in the standard S600 model. Only the extra lightings present in the S-Guard would give it away to a person with a trained eye.

Under the hood, the Mercedes-Benz S600 Guard has the same 6.0-liter V12 engine present in the standard S600. Overall, it provides the car an output of 523 hp and 612 lb-ft of torque. Such power is just ideal to haul the extra armor of the car.
