The new Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake in Nurburgring.

The Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake has been officially confirmed for an early 2015 release. The announcement of this new CLA model may no longer come as a surprise since speculations and leaks from insiders have already revealed the three-pointed star marque’s plan for it. However, the new vehicle under the Shooting Brake series is once again making a buzz after its spy video has surfaced.

In the spy video, the car can be seen cruising the endurance track of Nurburgring. This gives us a nice preview of the vehicle’s performance while on the road, particularly its speed and handling capabilities.

Check out the video of the car below that was provided by TouriClips through YouTube:

In the video, Mercedes-Benz did not put much effort in camouflaging the vehicle’s features. So, one can see that the new Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake borrowed some of the design cues of the CLS Shooting Brake, in addition to its CLA sedan features.

Except the new styling, which features larger rear doors, recognizable tailgate plus integrated spoiler, the upcoming Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake will not offer anything else in relation to technology, interior, and engine specs. Basically, all the things that we have seen in the current CLA will still be available in the Shooting Brake version.

Notably, the new range will include the Mercedes CLA 45 AMG Shooting Brake. The AMG variant is expected to be equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with an output of 360 hp and 450 Nm torque.
