The average time for companies to sell a new car in April was 56 days according to the data of Kicking Tires, the blog of Cars.com. The figure is five days more than its previous year and the month of March.

Based from the source, they have made a top ten list of the fastest sellers in the industry, which are based on passing a certain threshold of sales in order to weed out ultra-high performance cars, limited models, and other factors. During the process, they were also able to determine the top ten vehicles that were seen to be slow sellers, which do not possess such threshold.

The list was topped by the BMW 640i xDrive Coupe with 205 days selling time. The report attributes its low reception to certain factors like its price, which is around $75,000, and its very few pool of buyers.

Second on the list is the Mercedes-Benz E400 Hybrid with 179 days. Again, the starting price tag of $56,000 was criticized as the low point of the car. It mentioned the Mercedes-Benz E250 BlueTec diesel variant as well that churns 28 miles per gallon for city driving and 45 mpg in the highway. The E250 BlueTec diesel is priced at $52,000. It just shows that fuel consumption is the lowest priority of buyers these days, said the blog.

The other cars included in the list from the third place to the tenth are the following:

  • Jaguar F-Type convertible with 157 days
  • Infinity Q60 coupe with 157 days
  • BMW MG convertible with 143 days
  • Mitsubishi Outlander with 141 days
  • Jaguar F-Type S convertible with 140 days
  • Acura RLX with 135 days
  • BMW 650i xDrive Gran Coupe with 133 days
  • Mini Paceman with 129 days
