Spy photos of the 2015 Mercedes C-Class estate recently emerged online thanks to WorldCarFans. The pictures of the upcoming C-Class variant were allegedly taken in Germany while the vehicle was being taken for a spin.

Despite lacking the emblem and some distinctive badges, the estate shown in the set of photos is unmistakably a Mercedes C-Class. One can immediately notice that the lines of the vehicle along the sides and the hood are that of a C-Class. Another giveaway is the slope of the roof down to the hood. Add to that the narrow headlights that reflect the same signature of the C segment of the brand. Going to the back, the station wagon in the photos has a diffuser similar to its sedan and coupe counterparts.

It should be noted though that the front grille of the alleged 2015 Mercedes C-Class estate shown here has three horizontal lines as opposed to the C-Class sedan and coupe’s two grilles. Another difference is the rear doors, which appear to be longer than the sedan to complement its huge cargo compartment.

According to the source, the 2015 Mercedes C-Class estate is expected to be launched later this year. It will likely be offered in four and six-cylinder engines. Among the engines mentioned were the following:

  • 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol with an output of 115 kW and 184 lb-ft of torque
  • 2.0-liter four cylinder petrol engine that has 135 kW and 221 lb-ft of torque
  • 1.6-liter four cylinder diesel with a power of 85 kW and 100 kW
  • 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine variant possessing 125 kW and 295 lb-ft of torque
