Camouflaged 2015 Mercedes C-Class cabriolet

Spy photos of a car claimed to be the 2015 Mercedes C-Class cabriolet have been released recently by UltimateCarBlog.com and the Car and Driver portal.

Based on the spy pictures released by the auto sites, it is still hard to make out the features of the car due to its heavy camouflage. However, the apparent horizontal breaks above the frame of the windshield and the rear of the vehicle reveal that it is likely a cabriolet.

Among the other features strongly indicating that the car might be long-awaited cabriolet variant of the new C-Class model is its front grille with two horizontal lines going on both sides of the circle where the emblem is normally placed, plus the signature squinting headlights found in new Mercedes cars. The wheels also show the standard five-spoke design that current-generation Mercedes vehicles typically use.

According to the first source, the car will be Mercedes-Benz’s answer to the BMW 4-Series cabriolet. It will possibly come with petrol and diesel engines. The petrol models will probably carry a range of 238 hp to 333 hp engines while the diesel variants will be equipped with 116 hp to 204 hp engines. It is speculated too that Mercedes will offer a BlueTEC hybrid engine that can produce an estimated output of 204 hp.
