The 2015 Mercedes C-Class was surely impressive. While we were still resting our brains from getting starstruck with the new C-Class, as well as the launching of the 2015 Mercedes S-Class Coupe at the recent Geneva Motor Show, we just found out what Mercedes is testing a new variant of the C-Class again thanks to Motor Authority.
The source revealed just hours ago some photos of what could be the next AMG variant of the C-Class. It stated that it will have the C63 AMG badge.
The report also revealed that the 2015 Mercedes C63 AMG will carry a smaller engine compared to its older C63 AMG brother. The current model carries a 6.2-liter V8 but the new one is expected to downsize it to 4.0-liter but with the same biturbo V8 engine.
The car portal claims that the output will exceed the current generation’s 451 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque while the fuel consumption will go lower.
Based on the news source, the upcoming 2015 Mercedes C63 AMG will be equipped with an MRA platform which is lighter and stronger than the current version of the C-Class. It will likely feature an AMG SPEEDSHIFT seven-speed dual-clutch transmission too.
Then, it will also benefit from the AMG DRIVE UNIT which will provide the driver various customization options that will let him or her adjust the car’s performance up to comfort settings.
Although it is hard to see the features of the car at the moment due to its heavy camouflage, the report speculates that it will borrow some styling from the latest E63 AMG.
Regardless of what it looks like within the heavy camo, we are sure that it will certainly be awesome.
Simply because it’s Mercedes-Benz.
