Lewis Hamilton Had to Win Belgium for Mercedes

We knew heading into the Belgian Grand Prix this past weekend that being able to score another win would be pivotal for the Mercedes team’s campaign. Newcomer Lewis Hamilton had just scored his first race win, and being able to win another one would definitely boost the team’s chances to get back in the hunt for the title. It’s official! The 2015 Mercedez GLA is making its way to the International Motor Show which will be held at Frankfurt, Germany in September and it is scheduled to hit the market by fall next year. Based on reports from Autoblog and Forbes, the new Mercedes GLA will be sporting a new compact crossover look. The new car will be the fifth SUV/crossover that the brand will roll out in the US. Kylie Jenner Takes Her Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV Out For A Spin

A recent report from dailymail.co.uk showed Kylie Jenner taking a brand-new Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV for a spin. The youngster received the $125,000 SUV for her sixteenth birthday. Initially, Kourtney Kardashian tagged along, which was marked through Instagram. Kourtney also tweeted that her younger sister is already a licensed driver. Smart Car Sharing: Milan Gets car2go Service

This month marks another milestone in Daimler’s car2go car-sharing service, as Milan gets to enjoy a fleet of 450 smart fortwo vehicles slated to be fully available by the middle of September. While the smart eco-friendly vehicle brand certainly isn’t the biggest moneymaker in the Daimler stable, those vehicles together with the car2go platform allows the German automaker to make good on its promise of delivering sustainable automotive solutions, particularly for urban mobility applications that are focused upon by car2go. Mercedes-Benz is PGA of America Patron Partner Through 2017

Mercedes-Benz has renewed its pact with the PGA of America, which means that it will maintain its Patron partnership with the golfing body all the way through 2017. The partnership, which was started in 2010, allows the german car brand to stay on as the official patron and the official vehicle of the PGA of America as well as a variety of golf events, including the PGA Championship, the Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid, and as the official patron of the 2014 Ryder Cup (US rights in 2014, global rights except Europe in 2016). F1: Mercedes’ Hamilton Buoyed by First Win

It’s amazing what a race win can do for a driver’s confidence. Just take Lewis Hamilton, who only recently managed to win his first race as a member of the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team. It took Hamilton 10 races to get that first win after leaving McLaren-Mercedes, finally getting the proverbial monkey off his back at the Hungaroring on July 28. Mercedes-Benz Posts Record July Sales

Mercedes-Benz is off to a solid start for the second half of 2013, with the German luxury car maker posting record results for July and managing 20% growth on year-over-year figures for the month. A total of 116,790 vehicle units were sold over last month. That puts the year-to-date tally up to 811,227 units, which marks an 8.1-percent increase over the same January-to-August period in 2012. Dr Joachim Schmidt, Mercedes-Benz Cars executive vice president for sales and marketing, credited the success of the new E-Class as well as the continued popularity of the automaker’s compact models.
