As part of ongoing efforts to promote and showcase the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class, which just launched a few weeks ago, the Mercedes-Benz Museum is presenting a fresh exhibition about the vehicle and the history of the model series.

The exhibit, dubbed ‘Mercedes-Benz S-Class–always ahead of its time’, will be held from June 18 through November 3, 2013.

“The special exhibition presents the course of development over the past 110 years and demonstrates in impressive style why the S-Class is considered to be the quintessential automobile,” said Michael Bock, who heads Mercedes-Benz Classic and also acts as Mercedes-Benz Museum’s managing director.

“Visitors to the Museum will be able to embark on a fascinating time trip extending from 1904 to the new S-Class of 2013.”

Collection room 5 will be housing an incredible showcase of the luxury series, with no less than eleven vehicles being held in the room. In addition, there will also be a 1:1 clay model along with wall graphics and interior exhibits.

People can also join special guided tours. These cost 4 euros on top of admission, and are held every Wednesday at 2:30 in the afternoon. These tours last for around 75 minutes.

Smartphone owners can also take part using an augmented reality app, so viewers and visitors of the Museum and the exhibit can bring something home with them.
