A part of the “Daimler Trucks Number One” Global Excellence Initiative, Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation or the MFTBC and the Daimler India Commercial vehicles Pvt. Ltd. or the DICV were integrated under Daimler Trucks Asia. This integration will facilitate growth of the commercial vehicle division of Daimler AG in emerging markets located in Asia and Africa.

The combination will allow the company to offer the appropriate products to its clients as well as offer suitable services and lower the cost of owning commercial vehicles.

The company also revealed during the launch of new FUSO products that it was able to successfully penetrate a number of markets in Asia and Africa.

The integration will also facilitate cooperation in a number of areas including development, assembly and procurement that will optimize the strengths of the two companies under Daimler Trucks Asia. The cooperation will allow the two companies to collaborate more closely even as they will remain to be independent subsidiaries of Daimler AG.

This collaboration also made it possible for the DICV production facilities to assemble FUSO trucks that will be made available in Asia and Africa.

The MFTBC is based in Kawasaki, Japan while the headquarters of the DICV is located in Chennai, India.
