CEO Andy Webb revealed that Marussia will either shift to a Mercedes-Benz or Ferrari engine in 2014 according to ESPN.

Currently, Marussia is the only team using Cosworth engines. However, with the introduction of the new turbo engines for the 2014 season which is more expensive with the existing ones, Cosworth will no longer be developing a new one for the team.

Webb said that the move forced them to choose between the two known engine manufacturers.

Lately, his company has been dealing with the two prospective engine suppliers and they are currently weighing their alternatives. But the cost is definitely a factor that will be considered in their decision. He added that they will probably be able to announce their new engine partner in about four weeks.
