We’ve seen the pictures and now we see the video. Courtesy of the official Mercedes-AMG Youtube channel, we get glimpses of the A 45 AMG in action, both on a winding road and on track. Of course, this is a teaser video, so don’t expect any head-to-head action.
Probably using the same unit as the ones we saw in the static pics, Mercedes-AMG further shows glimpses of the cockpit, the switchgear and the driver snicking up the gears using the paddle shifters. Although an all-wheel driver, AMG has apparently given the A 45 a 67/33 distribution bias, to help emulate a proper rear-driver when the driver feels the need for some spirited driving.
And that seems to be the message that this video wants to impart. Even the background music is the sort that appeals to the youthful crowd Mercedes wants to capture. All indications are that this is one hot car, and with production beginning in April, this relatively affordable pocket rocket should find many takers.
