Much Awaited CLA Super Bowl 2013 Ad Finally Released

Giancarlo Perlas January 31, 2013

After all the hype that Mercedes-Benz released for their Super Bowl 2013 ad, we finally had a chance to see it.

Spoiler Alert!

Amidst the expectations of many that it would center on Kate Upton and Usher, as various press releases led everyone to believe, it was not the case. The video actually focused on a guy and Willem Dafoe in his most devilish character since playing the Green Goblin. The supermodel and the singer only made cameo appearances in the video, to the disdain of the swimsuit model’s fans and celebrity singer’s admirers.

Despite this, the commercial was really entertaining. To top it all off, we finally got to see the price of the new CLA at the end of the video, which is $29,900. A price that is lower than its predecessors.

The Message

The message of the commercial is clear. The young actor actually represented the younger customers that Mercedes-Benz is trying to get into their market. The last statement of the guy saying, “Thanks, but I think I got this,” signifies that the price of the product is now more attainable.
