According to the online report of The Hindu, an India-based publication, Mercedes-Benz India is looking to spike the prices of its units in the country by 1% to 3%. An official press release from the company stated that the increase will take effect on January 14 this year.

Eberhard Ken, the Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India stated that they were forced to share a part of their financial burden to their customers due to the growing input cost, increase in interest rates, the unstable value of the Rupee versus the Euro and other related economic factors.

Mercedes-Benz India is looking to increase the price of the B-Class by 1%, the C-Class and E-Class sedans by 1.5% and the S-Class sedan by 3%.

This is definitely a sad news for customers in India who are looking to purchase their favorite luxury cars this year.
