Mercedes-Benz A-Class BlueEFFICIENCY (BE) Edition Unveiled

Mercedes A-Class BlueEFFICIENCY EditionA new Mercedes-Benz A-Class BlueEFFICIENCY (BE) Edition is reportedly in the works, according to the luxury car manufacturer.

The latest model features a redesigned grille and daytime circular LED running lights. It is expected to be promoted to ecologically-aware consumers. The ride height of the vehicle will be reduced, and its underbody aerodynamics will be enhanced.

The Mercedes-Benz A-Class BlueEFFICIENCY (BE) Edition will be available in two engine models. The A180 BE model will feature a 1.6-liter petrol engine that offers 122HP (90kW) of power and average consumption of 5.2 liters per 100 kilometers. This is equivalent to 45.2 mpg in the US and 54.3 mpg in the UK. The CO2 emission of this model is 120 g/km.

The A 180 CDI BE model features a 1.5-liter engine that offer 109HP (80kW). It is considered as the most-fuel-efficient model offered by Mercedes-Benz since it averages 3.6 liters per kilometer. This is equivalent to 65.3 mpg in the US and 78.4 mpg in the UK. Its CO2 emission is at 92 g/km.

The Mercedes-Benz A-Class BlueEFFICIENCY (BE) Edition is set to enter the market by February and will be delivered by March.
