Introducing the Air Drive Cars — Eerie or Awesome?

The recurring theme of classic futuristic Sci-Fi films are rocket-propelled or anti-gravity vehicles. Do you remember the timeless classics like Back to the Future and Star Wars where the common modes of transport are cars that defy gravity?

Thanks to the French photographer named Renaud Marion, we will get to envision these kinds of cars again. In his recent work called “Air Drive”, he chose six cars from different generations and provided them minor facelifts using some camera tricks. Yeah, speaking of “lift”, the cars were literally up in the air in his pictures. He artistically removed the wheels to make them appear that way.

Among his specimens were the Mercedes-Benz SL and 300 roadsters, the Cadillac DeVille, Chevrolet El Camino and Camaro, plus the Jaguar XK120.
