Looking Back at the Mercedes-Benz AMG and Ducati Partnership

Ryan Joseph Ramos November 23, 2012

It was only a year ago that Mercedes-Benz AMG had a pretty solid marketing partnership with the premium motorcycle manufacturer Ducati. That partnership ended on the heels of Ducati being acquired by Audi, a Mercedes-Benz rival in the luxury car market. Even with the partnership having ended several months ago, it’s still nice to look back at the partnership that served as a true marvel for design and performance.

The partnership has resulted in some pretty nifty collaborations, such as the Ducati Diavel AMG Special Edition, which made its way to the stage of the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. There was also the couple of ‘streetfighter yellow’ models outed by each brand, showcased side by side at the Bologna Motor Show in AMG booth last December, almost a year back.

Ah, it must be nice to ride in a Ducati Streetfighter 848 all decked in yellow. Better have some http://www.carolenash.com/insurance/ coverage to go with that to be on the safe side as you blitz through the roads and streets. Well, we can all just wonder at what could have been, if Audi had not taken over Ducati and had the partnership not ended between the motorcycle brand and the Mercedes-Benz AMG performance division.
