Clarissa August 18, 2011

You read that right, a diesel roadster, which is the first for Mercedes-Benz. The SLK 250 CDI is a two seater vehicle that boasts of superior design and ultimate power.

The roadster boasts of 204HP power brought about by its 4-cylinder engine with 2143cc displacement. It’s also an economical car with its 1.3 gallons of diesel that can run around 62 miles. A torque of 500 n/m that will bring it from zero to 62 mph in 6.7 secs. The transmission is equipped with a 7G-Tronic Plus automatic transmission and a Direct-Steer system. The car’s agility is maintained by the Torque Vectoring Brake.

The good thing about this, aside from its power and economy, is that it has the same design or appearance from the petrol models, thus, the dynamism of the vehicle design is maintained.

You can start ordering the Mercedes-Benz SLK 250 CDI on September 13,2011. Price starts at about $60,000.

  1. I would suggest not converting the l/100km into 1.3 gallon per 62 miles which is too confusing and unusual. I am assuming you are quoting roughly five litres per 100 km.

I would suggest just the proper conversion into miles per gallon for the American readers. That would be 47 mpg.
