Ducati Rider Fumbles Over AMG DTM Race Car

Emmanuel P August 11, 2011

As partners in product promotion, AMG and Ducati continue to share more events, a recent one being the press event in China. Now AMG has seen fit to have Ducati’s team rider sample its DTM race car, coached by no less than David Coulthard, F1 driver and recently appointed AMG ambassador.

Despite being a world champion rider in his own right, Hayden found AMG’s DTM C-Class race car a bit of a handful. Not for want of the proper reflexes, surely. As you will see in the video below, it takes more than innate skills to handle such a car, which has 480 horsepower on tap, reaches 0-60 mph in 4 seconds and hits a top speed of 186 mph.

But this seemingly poor track showing has not discouraged Hayden from taking delivery of a limited-edition CLS 63 AMG Edition One model, which Nick uses when he’s not tearing up road courses in his Ducati race bike.
