		<description>My father had a Mercedes SLC in the 1970s and it was a hardtop, 4 seat grad touring coupe, not a 2-seat sports coupe as some have suggested here.  If Merc&#039;s plan is to revive this model, it should be a 4 seat gran coupe to take on the likes of the Maserati Gran Turismo, Bentley Continental GT, etc.  I remember those fixed metal shutters in the rear seat windows that were a really cool and elegant touch.  Hopefully a more modern interpretation on that will emerge in this new model.</description>
