Mercedes is planning to show its SLS AMG Emergency Medical concept vehicle at RETTmobil 2011, which is going to be held around the second week of May. The RETTmobil fair is an industry event for the information and training of decision makers and managers of emergency services.

Mercedes-Benz will be showing a variety of exhibits on mobility and training, among them a framework model of the security body Mercedes-Benz C-Class, which will illustrate the safety passenger compartment of a modern car. Another exhibit is a rescue simulator based on the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, but undoubetdly, the star of the Mercedes exhibit will be the SLS AMG emergency vehicle, which will be finished in silver with SLS EMERGENCY lettering and blue light beams, topped off with the requisite light bar and the most modern communications technology. The standard SLS AMG is powered by a 6.3-liter V8 engine with an output of 563 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. In an emergency, the SLS can leap to 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and rapidly reach the nearest medical facility with its top speed of 317 km/h.
