New A-Class confirmed for sale in the US

The Mercedes-Benz Concept-A Class is truly a sight to behold in both Shanghai and New York auto shows. But what’s even greater is the fact that the German manufacturer plans to sell it in the US. Yes, the guys at Car and Driver were able to ambush bosses of the Stuttgart-based company to get their confirmation.

While there’s yet to be an exact schedule of when the new A-Class will reach US shores, Mercedes-Benz officials do say that the company is now working on several body styles for the final production version.

Of course, it’s very unlikely that the final product will look exactly like the Concept-A Class that’s being displayed on showroom floors. But knowing Mercedes-Benz, the result will nevertheless be breathtaking. You can probably expect the front end to be at the least as aggressive as the concept. It’s likely going to draw on design cues from the current CLS. That should it a little twist.

A five-door hatchback with the makings of a Mercedes-Benz CLS. Something similar to the Shooting Break Concept? Not quite. But probably as spectacular, and real. If you’re in the US, well you’ll just have to wait a little while longer to find out.
