Insider Info: C63 AMG Coupe Black Series to get 507 HP
Muamer Hodzic April 22, 2011
We’ve received exclusive information regarding the upcoming Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Black Series from one of our insiders. The email that came in this morning informed us that the upcoming Black Series version of the C63 AMG Coupe will be powered by the current 6.2l V8 with some mods and produce 507 HP (just like the CLK63 AMG Black Series). The email suggest that buyers will have few customization options available when making their orders. Some of the add-ons include an optional rear spoiler that customers can order as well as the choice to include a rear seat, since the standard factory option won’t have it. Buyers will also have the choice between 5 basic colors – our guess is black, white, red, silver, and maybe charcoal gray? Just like with all the previous Black Series models, this will be a very limited production run, so don’t expect more than a few hundred.
As usual with the Black Series models, the car will be much lower and wider than the “ordinary” AMG version of the C63 Coupe. It will also have a custom body kit, just like with the CLK Black Series, which will help the Black Series differentiate itself from its siblings. The price is also known, but our insider isn’t ready to tell us just yet; only thing we know now is that it will cost less than the CLK Black Series in 2008, which was priced at $138,000.
Update: As we’ve learned it will not be powered by the 5.5l twin-turbo V8, but by the current 6.2l V8.

Very interesting it said Black Series, but I saw this car on the dominance of red color. can anyone explain?
Where is the new M3? Or a 500hp RS5? The C63 is now the king of high-power, naturally aspirated coupes.
I want one. Any possibilities for an AWD one? That would be insane, coupled with the dual-clutch. That calls for near-GT-R acceleration times.
The price is still high for this car.
