Auto shows aren’t just for the biggest and fastest speedsters on wheels. There are also those that showcase new technology as well as special editions that are made to catch the eye of onlookers. One such vehicle to grace the stage at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show is the smart fortwo nightorange edition.
With its classy and distinct two-tone mostly-orange paint job, it’s hard not to notice the nightorange edition, which is based on the smart fortwo passion edition. There are black trims on the tridion safety cell, front grille, mirror caps and headlamp trims, as well as on the three-doublespoke 15-inch rims at the wheels.
That colorway isn’t just for show; the interior is also hued in the same palette, highlighted by black Nappa leather on the three-spoke steering wheel. Here’s something from the official press release: “The interior takes up the colour concept of the body with a design that is both sporty and chic: the black seats in a mix of leather and fabric have an orange sport stripe in the middle, as does the knee pad in leather look. They provide a dramatic contrast to the black door trim and black instrument panel. Contrast components such as the instrument trims are painted in pearl black.”
Features that come with the smart fortwo nightorange include electric windows, automatic temperature control, softouch automatic gear program and a sunblind-equipped transparent panoramic roof. Prospective buyers will be able to select between a 54hp diesel engine or a 71hp micro hybrid drive petrol version.
