Mark your calendars, folks. The Smart Pulse, the dynamic variant of the highly-touted Smart ForTwo, is slated to be delivered to dealerships sometime in April of this year. This was announced by Daimler recently, and the company is now preparing the stage for the introduction of this latest Smart vehicle model.
If you consider the standard Smart ForTwo as a bit of a bore and a tad plain or dull, then the Pulse is for you. It offers a sportier exterior, thanks to facelifted side skirts as well as modified front and rear aprons, angled exterior lines, and 15-inch alloy wheels that feature a 3-double-spoke design. The door mirror caps as well as the radiator grille are both finished in black.
The interior also gets some love, with a 3-spoke sport steering wheel finished in leather, added shift paddles, and black leather-style upholstery to complement the sporty exterior.
Coupe and cabriolet variants are available, with a trio of engine options. These options are the 71hp petrol engine that has micro hybrid drive technology in it, the 84hp turbo petrol version and the 54hp diesel power plant bundled with a diesel particulate filter.
No word yet on pricing.
