Mercedes-Benz, together with Weststar Associates who represent the automaker in Nigera, has confirmed that the new C-Class and E-Class vehicles are set to be unveiled in the country within the first quarter of this year. The automaker says that preparations are already in the advanced stages, so expect the official launch sooner rather than later.
Mirko Plath, Weststar Associates’ managing director, confirmed that the new CLS model will see launch before March 2011 ends. Both the C-Class and the E-Class are quite successful in the Nigerian market. There are already plans to add more facilities for these two lines. These new facilities will provide the kind of excellent service that every Mercedes-Benz owner needs.
Aside from the launch of the C-Class and E-Class, Plath stated that those in Nigeria should also watch out for the new A- and B-Class vehicles as well as some news related to the company’s 4×4 vehicle segment.
Plath also stressed the importance of the Mercedes-Benz truck segment in Nigeria. He said that while there are cheaper trucks available on the market, customers are looking for “trucks that would be on the road on a daily basis.” He says only Mercedes-Benz can deliver those requirements.
