The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is the automobile the doesn’t really need any marketing, as this German car is already a showcase on its own. But despite of this, Mercedes chose to add a new video to highlight the SLS AMG.
The video features the supercar while in a drifting session on a wet circle track at the Mercedes-Benz World in Germany. The automobile is being driven by the Mercedes-Benz senior stunt driver, Ed Redfern. The video shows the driver drifting his laps on the track, while describing that the steering wheel should be managed very gently and that the automobile is basically being controlled mostly with the feet.
The background music of choice was classical music, making it look like drifting is a gentle and dainty process. The video also emphasizes how the driver spins the automobile at certain times.
For those who are not quite familiar with the SLS AMG, this supercar is powered by a naturally aspirated 6,209 cc V8 unit that brings about 571 hp at 6,800 rpm and a total torque of 480 lb-ft (651 Nm) at 4,750 Nm. The car’s engine is paired with a seven-speed double clutch DCT transmission. It drives the 3,571 lbs (1,650 kg) automobile to a speed of 62 mph in merely 3.8 seconds and on to a high speed of 197 mph (31 km/h).
