Sales are up everywhere for Germany’s premium car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz, not only in Europe and the US, but in Canada as well. The company’s base in the country reports a ground-breaking 2,427 total number of units, both Mercedes-Benz and SMART sales, for the month of August. This translates to a hefty 7.4% growth and a 3,054 unit, or 17.3%, increase in sales year-to-date.
This year, Mercedes-Benz Canada has sold 20,725 vehicles so far. In August alone, the company sold 2,093 passenger cars and luxury light trucks, beating last year’s August sales by 5.1%. Since the same period last year, the company has grown its total sales volume of passenger car and luxury light trucks by 13.2% or 1,297 units and 20.5% or 1,252 units respectively. 18,488 vehicles have been delivered year-to-date, bumping up the combined passenger car and luxury light truck sales growth to 16.0% or 2,549 units.
Of course, credits are divided amongst the Mercedes-Benz B-Class, C-Class, E-Class, GLK-Class, M-Class and R-Class ranges for the company’s spectacular growth for August. Orders keep coming in for the GLK-Class, registering a 44.7% growth compared to August last year, while the E-Class is performing very well with a 65.7% month-versus-month growth throughout its entire range, namely the Sedan, Coupe, Wagon and Cabriolet.
