Are you fond of watching 3D films? But, perhaps a better question is, have you ever watched a 3D film, or much less know what it is? Simply put, it’s a film that requires you to wear 3D glasses in order to have a live experience. It’s like having the characters, objects and background come alive right before your eyes—that’s what a 3D movie is. And Mercedes-Benz set out on the Isle of Man to create the fastest-ever road car movie in 3D. What we have for you here is both the 2D version of the movie, plus behind-the-scenes footage of the stars and the crew making it.
What you’re about to see is David Coulthard pushing his SLS AMG to the limits that the Isle of Man mountain road allows. It may look simple to you at first, but if you really think about it, it’s DC that has the hardest job of all—and that is to keep himself from overtaking the SLS AMG in front of him. Yes, there’s another SLS AMG and it’s being driven by DC’s friend, fellow Scot and champion rally driver Robby Head. Robby’s job is to drive as fast as he could to give DC as much space to work with as possible.
Well, enough talk. It’s time you see it for yourself. In 2D, that is.
