According to Steve Moody, editor of Fleet World, the luxury sector is becoming more competitive, but the Mercedes-Benz S-Class still continues to lead the pack. Also, the german carmaker’s new line of engine have made their cars more impressive than before. For the 2010 Fleet World Honours, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class took home the Best Luxury Car Award. This is the second consecutive time that such award has been given to the S-Class. The regional corporate sales manager for Mercedes-Benz UK, Adrian Freeman, took the award last May 18 during a the program that was held at the Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall. Based on the news, the average fuel consumption of Mercedes-Benz S350 CDI BlueEfficiency rates at about 37.2 mpg with CO2 emmisions of 100 g/km.

The S-Klasse boasts of a series of ground-breaking systems like its Adaptive Highbeam technology, that gives utmost visibility without dazzling other motorists.Â Another innovative system is the Attention Assist, which observes more than 70 parameters to sense drowsiness so it can notify the car driver to take a break. The S-Class is known for being the leader with regards to the latest technology as well as having an elegant surrounding, extreme comfort and great fuel efficiency.
