High Sales of Mercedes-Benz Trucks In Brazil

According to the Mercedes-Benz do Brazil CEO, Jurgen Ziegler, they have already foreseen the upcoming high sales in diverse sectors since January 2010. They have seen high investments go into the infrastructure and construction sectors, high volume in the wholesale market, which are all provoked by high demands of private consumption and numerous divisions in agricultural and beverage market. With this great economy, Mercedes-Benz has yet again hit the South American market this April by selling 1,205 units, making the said month the second highest in their sales history with regards to monthly volume of heavy-duty truck sales. Since January 2010, Mercedes-Benz has had high sales in Brazil, having sold around 4,417 heavy-duty trucks. This sales makes is 90 percent greater than what they have reached within the same period of last year. To give credit to Mercedes-Benz’ success in the local market, Jornaut, a famous auomotive magazine in Brazil, awarded Mercedes Benz – “Premio Merito Reconhecido”. This award is the 27th such trophy awarded to Mercedes-Benz. According to Jurgen Ziegler, this recognition is a big achievement for Mercedes-Benz.

The soaring economy in Brazil boosted the global sales of Mercedes-Benz trucks amounting to 35,338 units only in the first quarter of 2010. Based on the record, Brazil got the highest sales for Mercedes Trucks, where Germany, Turkey and France trailing along the line. It means that the brand’s buses and trucks are recognized for their excellent quality, technology and profitability. It also a sign of the top quality after sales service they bring to freight forwarders with regards to their dealership network.
