This division of Daimler AG’s premium car maker has been unanimously named as one of the best places to work in New Jersey – 7th to be exact – by NJBIZ magazine, Jersey’s mainstream source of business news all around the country.
If you were Ernst Lieb, President and CEO of MB USA, you’d be happy too, especially since Mercedes-Benz has been able to hit all-time growths in the first quarter of this year despite the recent turmoil in the automotive industry.
This award is by no means an easy feat. To earn it, a company has to have exceptional policies, practices, philosophies, systems and demographics. Even more important are employees’ opinions on their work. Employee interview results make up more than three-fourths of an award candidate company’s total score.
The program started back in 2005, with sponsors such as Extensis, Gibbons P.C. and Rothstein Kass. It aims to recognize companies in New Jersey which are the most favorable in terms of employee welfare, training and experience.
Mercedes-Benz managed to clinch the 7th spot despite being part of 55 companies, both medium and large-sized, without a single fellow automaker in sight.
