The current Mercedes-Benz S-Class has been around for last four years, so it’s only appropriate that Mercedes-Benz starts working on a new version. The new version, should be hitting showrooms in late 2012 or early 2013, depending on the market. We won’t know what it will look like until a year ahead of the launch, but we can speculate on what it will have inside. The rumors are that the new S-Class model will rely on turbocharging and direct injection to deliver power and efficiency. The AMG version will receive a twin-turbo charged 5.5 liter V8; this of course is all part of the well-known plan to have more powerful V8s and eliminate the inefficient V12s- sadly.
