Some more Autobild news, this time about the new SLK generation. December 2010 should be when the new SLK heads to market, and according to the Germans, it will be much quicker and more agile in the corners. It’s certainly have many upgrades, as we’re used to with Mercedes. Some of the changes, also seen on the E-Class, will be LED lights and Bi-Xenon Corner Headlights, as well a better Brake cooling system. In the engine compartment, we’ll probably find the unchanged 1.8 l Kompressor engine with 184 bhp.

Hello from France !
I read (in fact i tried to read because i don’t read and write english very well !) your blog everyday and i just want to say you i appreciate your Mercedes news.
I will like that the future slk looks like this model !
I love the new Mercedes style !
bye !!!
(I hope that you understood me ^^)
Quite close. I’d say that the future SLK will have a larger and more square and vertical central air intake opening, like the SLS. The MB designers wanted to give a muscle car feel to this small roadster.
Help
Want to buy SLK 230 kompressor aut from 1997 or SLK 200 kompressor aut from 2002 – does anyone know which of the two models are the best – plaese with documentations if possible.
Thanks
Carsten from Denmark
Carsten;
Choose 200 kompressor. 163 ps engine will be enough and maintenance costs will be much less than a 13 y/o car. I drove one for 2 years and I’m still missing it.
just bought a 1998 slk kompressor with 16K miles on it in MINT condition. love the ride!! LOVE the looks of the new 2010 model
