AutoWeek had the privilege of attending and test driving many of the vehicles at the Vermont gathering of the newest Mercedes-Benz Bluetec vehicles. They have gathered a interesting list of significant Mercedes-Benz diesel milestones. Here are some highlights.

    I do believe it was the 1979 300sd passenger car that had the first turbo diesel with 5 cylinder fuel injection which got close to 30 miles per gallon. It was a vehicle noted for having made many milestones braking a number of records.
