Daimler AG has released March sales numbers its Mercedes Benz division. When looking purely at the numbers, Mercedes sold a bit less this year in March than last year (20,808 compared to 21,612 last year), if number of sales days are factored in (28 last year vs 16 this year), then Mercedes sales rose by 3.7%.
The C-Class is still the most popular model in the Mercedes lineup, selling 4,486 cars, up by 49.6%. The E-Class sales fell by 24.4% to 3,039 vehicles.
The smart fortwo sold 1,734 cars in march, bringing the total to 3,476 for the first part of the year.
