Mercedes SLR 722 GT

Auto-Motor-und-Sport is reporting that Ray Mallock Racing has been contracted by Mercedes to produce a racing version of the SLR Mclaren.

It is not known how many exemplars will be produced, but they say that 20 are planned. THe price of the race version will be more than one million euro, which is more than $1,5 million due to the bad exchange rate.

The SLR has been spoted at Nuerburgring, where Chris Goodwin achieved a time of 7:38 minutes, but due to transmission and brake problems, didn’t beat the regular SLR time.
