MotorTrend has posted a set of the newest spy shots, which they say is the new rumored SLC. The SLC is believed to be the answer to the R8 from Audi. We still are not sure if this is just the new SL or a face lift, or if this is really the rumored SLC. I think we will have to wait to get some more spy shots that reveal more or from other sources, but at this point, our insider is saying that this could be the Black Series.

    There were a few rumors around indicating that this Merc could be a Black Series version (ultra sporty) of a AMG SL.

    I think that would make more sense, as this car looks just like the current SL. I also have the feeling that the pictured test car may not be the same as the one tested in the desert.

    They are certainly doing a great job of confusing the public with these spy shots and rumors.
